Numerous measures are available in the technical literature to describe the relation of rainfall and corresponding runoff. The thorough analysis of these measures can lead to a deeper understanding of the underlying processes. The study includes the calculation and comparison of these measures, relying on pre-processed data. We provide a database including several flood events for 61 Hungarian catchments, including the base flow and effective precipitation time-series. The following measures need to be examined in the study: maxima and sums of the rainfall and runoff, runoff ratio, baseflow index, antecedent precipitation index, flashiness index, antecedent soil moisture. The number of measures can be adjusted (extended or narrowed) if needed. The assessed values should be compared at each catchment and in-between catchments.
